Delicious chocolate brownie cake


Ingredients


For the base

1 ½ / 200 gr cup of self-rising flour

¼ cup / 60 gr of cocoa

½ tbsp / 7.5 ml baking soda

½ cup 125 gr grated almonds

½ cup / 125 gr melted butter

7 oz / 200 gr baking chocolate

1 cup / 200 gr powdered sugar

2 eggs

1/3 / 80 gr cup sour cream


For the cream

1/3 cup / 150 gr baking chocolate

½ cup / 120 gr sour cream


For decoration

Grated almonds or any kind of nuts you prefer


Instructions


In a bowl, put the flour and cocoa. Mix them and add the eggs, the melted butter and chocolate and the powdered sugar.


Mix them carefully and add the sour cream.


Keep mixing until all the ingredients form a compact mass. Then, add the baking soda and mix again.


Grease a 22cm / 8.5 in pan and put in the mixture. Bake it in a preheated oven at 180 °C / 355 °F for 40 minutes.


When the cake looks ready, put a knife in the middle of the pan; if the knife is completely clean when you can take it out, the cake is ready. Take it out of the oven and let it cool.


After it has cooled down, prepare the cream. Melt the cooking chocolate (at the microwave or bain-marie) and mix it with the rest of the sour cream.


Add the cream on the cake while still in the pan. Add the grated almonds and cover the pan with cling film. Let it cool for two hours.


When it’s ready cut it as you wish and eat it.
