Ingredients
500 gr / 17.5 oz meat
1 kg 2 lbs small onions
50 ml oil
3 tomatoes
2 cloves of garlic
2 bay leaves
½ tbsp pepper
1 tbsp salt
2 cups water
Instructions
Put the meat in a pot and fry it on each side so that its form will be preserved.
After 3 minutes we add the onions and fry them without oil as well.
Then, add oil and keep frying them while stirring at the same time.
Then, add the grated tomato, the garlic, the bay leaves and 2 cups of water.
Stir carefully until all the ingredients are mixed. Put the lid on the pot, low the temperature at about 100 °C / 210 °F and let the food stew for 1.5 hours.
When the meat is ready add salt and pepper and stir them.
Close the lid again and cook until there is no more water in the pot.
*We do not add the salt and the pepper from the beginning so that the food will be ready faster. But you can add them if you want.
